"Shall I compare me to a summer's day?
I am more lovely and more temperate."
A number of years ago, I received an email from a creative director. It posed an interesting question. Namely, what did I think of me?
I’d been sent the email in error. It should’ve gone to one of the creative director’s colleagues – the managing director, whom I'd recently met.
Still, a question’s a question. So I replied, saying that I was really rather taken with me.
If you're considering offering me a freelance project or the role as your agency’s head of copy, you’d probably like to hear something a little more objective than that as a reference.
Well, I’ve recently received some extremely kind recommendations on LinkedIn.
I was so grateful to those who wrote them, I returned all their children, spouses and pets unharmed.
Unless you count the guinea pig. But that was was a genuine accident. And it wasn't even my rottweiler.
